Valley of the Sun

We managed to score 4 days off together & headed up to explore Sun Valley, ID. It was nice to escape the 100 heat of SLC & try some new trails. The days were full of clear blue skies & sunshine, with cool refreshing nights. We have to admit, living there might be pretty nice. Super dog friendly area with wilderness trails, lakes, & camping you can even use!

And then the camera battery died...oops.

Redfish Lake

Oregon Gulch trail to Fox Creek....right from the campground

Chilling by the river

Corral Canyon trail

Who needs full suspension when the trails are butter smooth? I'll use it anyway!
Wildflowers among the charred trees (burned in 2007)
Going fast & taking chances
Lodgepole Gulch...not so fond memories. Many miles continuously UPHILL!!! Luckily the flowers were really pretty anyway!

"Moses" tour of the forest (never ending!) Shortly after, we took a "detour" in which we got to climb out back up hill. Doh!

A long day of riding...being back at the car= priceless

And home before midnight even....bonus.
