Camping: American Fork

I really wanted to get out camping at least once this year! We grabbed our last chance before winter & got out to enjoy the fall colors. It definitely got quite cool at night, but we stayed warm by the campfire (smores & all!) Unfortunately we had some rude neighbors that blared their music until 4am (it's the national forest people, REALLY?!?!), but luckily Collin was never bothered by it. Zelli was excited that she got to go too! Here's a few photos from our adventure:
Throwing rocks in the stream, favorite past time!
Dinner by camp chair
Ahhh, this is the life!
The "pajamas" for the night
Barb & Emmet even got to come & visit for a while

18 Months!

So, I finally got back around to documenting some monthly photos- although my subject continues to prove to be more & more challenging. Here's Collin now at 18 months, showing how he has grown along the way. One of his favorite things is reading books, he'll go right over to the shelf & keeping picking books out & climb into your lap to read. He loves to play with balls, run fast down the hall, chase, tickle, throw, etc. His favorite foods are yogurt, hot dogs, goldfish, ravioli, waffles, grapes, etc. He loves to go on walks & play at the park. He's sure to let us know if he doesn't get his way (& would rather have his paci & blankie all day)!

Lots of laughs! LOVE him!!

Glacier National Park

We had a wonderful time at Glacier National Park! We had quite nice weather (1 day of rain) & spectacular sights! We hiked around 25 miles in 1 week, traveled a few more by boat, & lots more by car! We stayed at several beautiful & historic hotels. We saw 10 bears, about 8 mountain goats, a marmot, bald eagle, & osprey. Our moose hunt hike was unsuccessful, but we get a decent number of those here in SLC anyway! Collin was a trooper (as were Barb & Emmet for putting up with our family affairs). He got ONE solid afternoon nap the entire trip & mostly survived by snacking-usually in the car on the go! Most importantly, we had ice cream for lunch most days & just had to have our very own huckleberry pie!Yum!!! Here's a bit of what we saw & did:
