Tri to try

So, after 4 years I decided to do another Sprint triathlon. The Women of Steel is a great women-only event. It is just the right distance to make it pretty do-able, & close to home too. It's the perfect time of year to get you motivated after the winter slump & back into gear. Jeremy helped out with Collin so I could get in some good training days. Swim, bike, run is the name of the game. I felt good & was able to enjoy the nice day, thanks to my cheering crew (Daddy duty!). I managed to place 13th in my age group & beat my old time. Here's how it went:

Swim, swim, swim!

Moab: Round 2

We reserved a weekend away with friends & went to the desert again! The weather was great, always a beautiful palette of rainbow with the red rocks, green trees, blue sky, clouds, flowers, etc. Jer & I totally got spoiled by our friend Jen who watched Collin for us while we biked the Porcupine Rim trail with the group lasting well into the afternoon. We had fun group meals with neighboring condos & lots of playtime out on the lawn & in the pool. We definitely appreciated our own hot tub too! Nice, that's vacation! A few mishaps along the way...Collin filling his carseat with puddles of puke on the way there, Mike (probably) breaking his wrist, Kara getting a stick stuck in her leg, & some of the crew with GI upset all the way home. Can only be better next year! Great time catching up with friends. Again, not tons of photos, but here you go!
