American Fork: Fall colors
We headed to American Fork for the day for several purposes: to try a new mountain bike trail, to check out the fall colors, & to drive the new car some more. Of course, the minute we head onto the single track the rain begins...another muddy biking adventure with the Audi. :) It ended up being a great ride anyways (we didn't bring the camera cause we didn't want to ruin it), lots of pretty colors too. Here's some from the drive...

A day in the life of Zelli the dog
It's tough, being a dog. My owners say they love me, but then they leave me home for 8 days without them. The feeding schedule is less than ideal, walks are minimal, and the silence is deafening after a while. To redeem themselves once they got home we went on the following adventure, or was it torture? I think I had fun......

Here I go...trotting down the trail, isn't it pretty?!
Oh, I LOVE to play in & drink from waterfalls!

Another, even bigger, one! Yeah!
Extreme close-up...& kisses. It's hot out here folks!
What's over there?
How do I look in fall colors?
Time out, resting the paws
Waterfalls on the way downWe made it safely & enjoyed a beautiful day...maybe I love my owners after all. Yeah, that "dog house" isn't so bad either, after all there's always plenty of apples to eat in the backyard! :)

Tim & Kate's wedding
Tim & Kate got lucky with a beautiful day to celebrate their union! We headed to Hastings Country Club first for wedding party & family pictures. The ceremony was light-hearted and meaningful as poor Tim was sweating buckets & the Groomsmen pretended to have lost "the rings". We hitched a ride in the party bus up to Christos Union Depot in St. Paul for dinner and to get the party started!

The beer cart had to come around of course, Cheers Mom & Dad!

E.R. (no, not the show)
Jeremy woke up in excruciating pain at 3am early Monday morning. He got out of bed, tried some ice, laid down, but after 40 mins there was no change. We headed to the nearest ER & confirmed, after a CT scan, that he had a 1.5mm (that's it?) kidney stone! It was a rather unpleasant scene with nausea & harsh vomitting setting in, but after 12mg Morphine Jeremy was finally able to hold still somewhat comfortably for a while. He told the triage nurse his pain was 3/10 (YEAH RIGHT!!!) and tried to avoid narcotics if possible, but that didn't last long. 3 1/2 hrs & 2 liters of IV fluid later we were cleared to head home. I played nurse that day for my miserable pt at home instead of at work. He was pretty compliant luckily for me. :) We are glad it wasn't anything more serious or requiring surgery as we were headed to MN on Wednesday for my brother's wedding. It is never fun to be a "patient" but he was quite the trooper, and always good to get a new perspective & insight how you would want to be treated as a patient. Eventually the stone must have passed as he was able to get out golfing, biking, water skiing, etc later that week in MN. Thank goodness! We'll try to avoid this in the future for sure....drink up everyone, h2o is your best friend, no kidding!

Gooseberry Mesa
Our friends Eric & his brother Anders came to visit from Washington so we headed on down to Gooseberry Mesa with them (near St. George, UT & Zion National Park, southwest corner). What a beautiful place full of amazing colors & pretty wild mountain biking (sometimes more like hiking for me!). The weather cooperated wonderfully & camping out was perfect! We pretty much had the whole place to ourselves! Fun stuff, check it out!
