Anniversary weekend: Feel the heat!

Yep, it's been 4 years since the big day we made our promise to each other. And smiling ever since! Thanks to the grandparents we were able to get out & enjoy an evening together.

Our actual anniversary dinner date!
I reserved a weekend away for Jer & I (again, BIG thanks to Gma & Gpa!!!) without child for the first time!!! He wasn't allowed to know where we were going. We had always wanted to go biking in Fruita, CO so that is where we headed for 2 nights/3 days. We came prepared for some HEAT as it was close to 100 degrees each day! We guzzled water by the gallons, & some gatorade too, slathered on the sunscreen & lived to tell about it. It was almost too hot to stop for photos, but here's what we got:

The trails were fabulous, we started out at the Kokopelli area. Sweet singletrack with views of & breeze off the Colorado river.
Grabbing some shade while we can
Delicious desert
Cheers! We cool off before our next ride.
Neat canyon along Steve's/handcuffs trail

We had the trails all to ourselves, wonder why....

Zippity-do-da at 18 Road area
We couldn't help but chuckle at the twin recliners in our hotel room, nice!
Top of the ribbon trail: Tabeguche area, Grand Junction
Gunny loop, grabbing some shade

Colorado National Monument drive

Here's to many more years with my love!

Father's Day!

Luckily, we had a better Father's Day than planned. I was able to get off early from work & spend some quality time with my boys! We had a lovely Father's Day afternoon walking around Silver Lake & hiking over to Solitude. We also got to meet up with Jer's parents for dinner & celebrate Barb's birthday in addition!

Collin's "hand" made card for Dad

We are so lucky to have this guy as our Dad! Jer has been such a fabulous partner in parenthood & I could never do it without him! Thank you for all you do!

We have a nephew!!!

Isaac Thomas Andrews was born 6/9/12 to my brother & sister-in-law!
BIG boy, 9lbs 9oz  22 inches
He's a grunter apparently, but otherwise he's been pretty easy on them!

We are super excited to become Auntie & Uncle!!! Love you Isaac!
