Backpacking the Unitas: Three Divide Lakes

After living in Salt Lake for several years now, we FINALLY made a short overnight trip out to the Unitas!! We hiked 3.5 miles into the 3 Divide Lakes, passing many other bodies of water much to Zelli's liking (like 10 in a 3 mile radius!). The weather cooperated wonderfully, the mosquitos almost carried us away alive, we had a great time! Looking at Mt. Watson from the shores of Wall Lake

Coleman Cheese!

The northern Twin Lake, yes Zelli sampled that one too!

Dog paradise: swimming, fishing, snow...what could be better?

We saw about 20 mountain goats, sometimes pretty close. We did our best to avoid them & stay out of their way. Zelli could have been adopted, we didn't want that.

The view from the Notch, a short side hike in the morning (Mt. Watson in the background)

Can't wait to go back, so much more to explore!!!
