The REAL DEAL

Rattlesnake was Jeremy's mission, today we accomplished it!!! It was a group effort with me, Emmet, & Mike as well. We conquered the jeeping trail rated 3.5 out of 5 in difficulty, all people & vehicles intact & unharmed. Jeremy was happy that his new tires & suspension performed well, it was definitely a good test. The trail was a bit exciting in spots & usually I was glad to be outside the car & spotting for him instead. Here's what we saw.... Overcoming small obstacles
Zelli is always happy to go!

How much clearance do we have?

Anyone see the road here?

"Just keeping going...inch by inch"

Climbing the crux

Mike's a "rock star" now: ready for more

Spotting our way out
We DID it!!!! Looking forward to next time! More challenges lie ahead in Moab, we're ready! :)

Coleman Lodge visitors

We enjoyed having Mom & Dad come out to UT for a visit. During our 3.5 days skiing, we had everything from bluebird sunshine & groomers, dust on crust, & light fluffy POW for face shots! Deer Valley day with the parents

Yay, the flakes are falling!

Dad had the perfect morning to practice paragliding

then back to the slopes we go...
Face shots on final run! Sweet!
& then "Jeepin" we go... (see other Redneck post)

We had fabulous dinners at Faustina, Himilayan Kitchen, & the Melting Pot (above) in SLC. We love having people to play with, so play we did! We really think they should just MOVE here already....closer to convincing them each time they come!?!?!

Rednecks 'R Us

So, you might be a redneck if:
  • you have a lift installed on your vehicle
  • you purchase the biggest tread tires possible for your truck
  • you like your car to smell like dirt
  • you're proud of the dirt on the windows & hood
  • you get upset if you can get out of the mud/snow easily
  • and many more!

Jeremy took it upon himself to do these aforementioned things, so we decided to get out for a spin to see how it all works. Here it goes....

Exploring "Hog Hollow" near Alpine

The lift & tires (just minutes after installed)

Anyone know who this guy is? Or where my husband went?

Emmet getting dirty, doing it right!

My Dad & I, Cruisers galore!

Jeremy helped inspire Mike to do the same, Moab here we come!
At least now if it's not going to snow we have somewhere to go!

Down with the GT: Grand Targhee Resort, Goggle tans, & the Grand Teton

Jeremy & I headed up to Wyoming to check out the skiing at Grand Targhee. We were able to visit friends & pick up Dad & friend Jeff at the airport in Idaho to join us. My uncle generously let us enjoy their condo (& wonderful hot tub!) while we were there. Luckily there was almost NO fog & temps were above zero the entire time! Yay! Here's a few of the highlights....
Ready to run, take a run

5" new! All to ourselves...

This sight totally had me cracking up!
