Dog days of summer

I've been wanting to get out to the Unitas ALL summer, even if just for a day hike. I managed to switch a shift to get a day off with Jeremy, & we headed out there. Really, it was all about Zelli. It's TOTALLY doggie heaven. We started at the Crystal Lake trailhead & went around up near 3 Divide Lakes, Mt. Watson, & Notch mountain. Zelli had a blast sampling & playing fetch in >6 of the dozen or so lakes along the way. Here she is....

Tour of Utah

We hit up Park City Mountain Resort for a mountain bike ride on Saturday afternoon & caught the Tour of Utah criterium afterwards in downtown Park City. It was a grueling 30 or so laps up a 8-12% grade, sharp corners, & fast downhills. There was a pretty good crowd & it was fun to see the riders so often! SLC rider Jeff Louder pulled off a win at the finish for the Stage

MN summer

We had a wonderful visit to Minnesota! We got to have some good quality time with family & friends. Jeremy was also lucky enough to attend his 16th or so wedding since he has met me. Luckily enough for him, we didn't do much dancing until after several hours. In fact, he came close to getting out of it all together, but I had him out there for the last few songs!

Congrats to Marta & Kent! A night with college friends, fun!

Canoeing down the Cannon River: despite starting with a leak in our boat we all even stayed upright! Thanks to a piece of chewing gum & my "canoe camp" skills. We saw several big Bald eagles & enjoyed a picnic lunch on the sandy beach!

Erin & Tommy came down to Deer Lake from Fargo for the weekend! Yay!

There were so many kiddos to keep in check we didn't manage to get much of a group photo...these will do for now until next year!

We were spolied with 6 beautiful days at the cabin & enjoyed each one to the fullest!! Swimming in the lake, kayaking, Eagle watching, & skiing of course!
